Our expert Egyptologist guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza at 8am and drive you in air-conditioned vehicle, to enjoy discovering the most interesting museum, the Egyptian Museum, which displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 120,000 artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1922, when his tomb was excavated.
Then proceed to visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, which Situated on the summit of the Citadel of Salah El Din (constructed in 1183 AD), this Ottoman mosque is the largest to be built in the first half of the 19th century, and the most visible mosque in Cairo. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.
Continue driving to the area Old Cairo; first stop will be the Hanging Church which, built in the 7th century, this old church takes its name from its location: sited above a gateway in the old Roman fortress. Admire the courtyard and interior with its screens, marble pulpit and icons, and hear about its long history.
Then proceed to visit Abu Serga church, where the holy family is said to have found refuge. Then, take a look at the Ben Ezra Synagogue, once a Christian church. Then proceed to visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the most famous and oldest bazaars in the Middle East. Then Back to your hotel.
